Meet Gina Rose Drew – Sydney’s Queen of Crochet!
We’re so excited to welcome Gina to Studio Inner West as our resident crochet tutor. Known as Sydney’s best crochet teacher (yep, we said it), Gina has been stitching up magic since she was knee-high to a grasshopper. Crochet has always been her creative happy place and teaching crochet is her calming passion project paired with a good cuppa and a cosy afternoon.
She’s now sharing her skills with us! Whether you’re a total newbie or looking to refresh your stitching, Gina’s got you.
Pick your favourite yarn, come as you are, and let Gina show you how relaxing (and addictive) crochet can be. Tea included, of course.

What You'll Do:
Get individualised guidance on any crochet project of your choice.
Choose from fun and beginner-friendly ideas like sunflower crochet granny squares, mini amigurumi plushies, or bring your own pattern.
Perfect for adults and creative kids aged 11+ looking for an after-school or weekend activity.
Class Options:
Solo: $80 for 60 minutes
Groups: $80 per guest, per session (custom options available)

Variety of standard DK yarns in beautiful colours
A warm cup of tea to keep you cosy
You’re welcome to bring your own supplies or request help sourcing specialty yarns.

What You’ll Learn:
Session 1: Learn the basics of starting any crochet project, including chain stitch, treble stitch, and slip stitch.
Session 2: Learn how to join a new colour and master the intermediate-level cluster stitch.
Session 3: Complete the course by learning the puff stitch technique and how to finish off your square.

If you are late or miss your session (no-show), we are unable to refund or reschedule as materials and staffing are prepared in advance.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to 324 Norton Street, Leichhardt. Doors open at the class start time.

We’re located just a 3-minute walk from Leichhardt North Light Rail, and only a 10-minute drive from Sydney CBD. There’s a bus stop right out front, and plenty of parking nearby, 2-hour parking on Norton Street, or 4-hour parking on William Street.
Make a day of it! Grab a coffee from Monte before your class or head to Bar Italia after for dinner in the heart of Little Italy. Our studio is surrounded by good vibes, great food, and everything you need for a perfect creative outing.
